I popped into Lush last month and got myself a couple of products I had never tried before, at the recommendation of one of the girls working there. It was a quiet day in the shop so she was very helpful, and tried the products out on my hand (which I love – it’s like a mini spa treatment that only lasts a few minutes, but I feel so relaxed afterwards), and talked me through all the benefits and how she personally uses them!
The first product I bought was the Full Of Grace Serum Bar. It works as a great moisturiser, it’s a bit oily to put on (as you’d expect) but it sinks in well and doesn’t leave you feeling oily afterwards at all. It melts in your hands or with contact to skin, and it doesn’t take a lot of product to do this, so I’m expecting this bar to last a very long time!
I was also told to put it on before a face mask or my make up, as it would help the ingredients in the face mask sink into my skin better, and also work as a great base for make up. I’ve tried it both ways and I found both times that it works amazingly! After washing off the face mask, my skin felt the softest I’ve ever felt it – which I will put down to a combo of the serum bar and the mask itself.
With make up, I told it was good at matte-ifying your face and that’s why it was a good base. However when I started to put my make up on it was still a bit oily but I was a bit impatient and never let it sink in before I did this, so I think that was my fault. BUT, somehow it worked for me and still came out looking perfect, and I think I prefer putting make up on top of the serum while it’s still drying as it was so much easier to blend my make up, especially since I use liquid foundation / cream contour.
The next product is the Cosmetic Warrior Face Mask. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any more full tubs of this but the lovely girl who was serving me gave me three tester tubs away with me for free – thank you!!!
It’s not the greatest smelling face mask, but it works wonders. I have a lot of blackheads and even after one use (along with the Serum Bar) I noticed a difference. It’s been a couple of days since I last used it as I’m writing this, and my blackheads and pores still don’t look as prominent as they usually do. I know a lot of people apply a thick layer of face masks / Lush face masks in particular, but I’ve just been putting a very thin layer on and it’s still working great for me – so a little goes far with this mask in particular.
I love these products and I’ll definitely be purchasing them again once they run out. What’s your favourite Lush face mask or skincare product?
