My Polaroid Printer

Last Christmas, I received a Polaroid printer as a gift from my parents. I’ve wanted a Polaroid camera for years, but my parents thought that a the printer was a bit more up-to-date and a cool gadget to get me, and I totally agree! (Although, I’m sure at some point in the future I will buy a camera as well.)

It works via bluetooth – there is NO ink involved! You download an app on your phone and through that you can print off any photo on your camera roll! This is great as you can pick a good photo and know that it’s going to print out nice, rather than take a picture on a Polaroid camera and only realise once it was printed out, that the lighting is wrong or you look a bit crazy.

It’s small too, so perfect to fit in any sized bag to take with you on a trip or a night out. Meaning (if you’re feeling generous) you can take pictures of you and your pals, and hand them out as little memories of the evening for everyone!

The paper I have for mine also doubles as a sticker if you choose to peel off the film on the back, so it’s perfect for scrapbooking.

Looking at the app itself, you have so many options for editing your photos. You can choose the size and placement of your photo on the paper, add filters, adjust the brightness, contrast, etc. settings of the photo, add a border or stickers, or even add text! You can also create a collage of pictures to print out in the one photo!

Personally, I don’t like to do much editing or add any filters as I feel it takes away from my photos, but that is just my opinion. However, I still love the fact you have all these options should you wish to use them.

I will say, I do love the look and thickness of the camera paper over the printer paper, but that’s just cause I feel the camera paper looks way more vintage and cute – it’s just a personal preference. And the quality of the photos when you print them doesn’t come out exactly as you would see it on your phone, which is understandable as it is trying to convert a big file to a small one and print it via bluetooth. Regardless, I love all my photos that I have printed out, and I love my Polaroid printer!

If you’re looking for a Polaroid camera or printer, or just a cool gadget to add to your collection, I would recommend looking into getting one of these as it’s a lot of fun, and can really make your bedroom, scrapbook or journal look way cuter!

Thank you for reading my post, I hope you enjoyed it! (And if anybody is curious, I have the Polaroid Zip printer.)

What’s your favourite gadget that you own?

It’s definitely something worth putting on your wish list! I do love the look of Polaroid cameras too, but I think I’d get more use out of this device since it’s way easier and more convenient to use!

I’ve always loved the idea of a polaroid camera/printer as I think the pictures look so cute on a pin board/in scrapbooks like you mentioned and I looked into the Instax ones but the camera paper refills are so pricey that I just didn’t think it was worth it! This is a really good idea though! At least you get to see what the photo looks like and edit it before it prints out! Lovely post hun!

Yeah the paper refills are a bit expensive, but for a nice quality photo/something you’ll keep forever, I think it’s worth it, as long as you don’t go too crazy and print photos just for the hell of it! I like to choose ones that have meaning or remind me of a certain good day! Thank you ☺️

They are, much more convenient to use as well as you can just print photos straight from your phone! I do wish I did have a Polaroid camera too, I think they both have different great qualities, and I love the way an original Polaroid looks as well!

This is such a cool little gadget! I’ve seen these before but never really looked into them. I think it’s awesome that you can print straight from you phone and it’s so small you can carry it around with you. That’d be perfect to take on vacation. Great post!

It definitely is, especially if you’re travelling someone for a day or so and don’t want to take a bulky camera, it’s a great wee addition to your bag! Thanks!

Polaroid’s are such a timeless look! I’ve been dying to get my hands on a camera or printer so I think I might go with a printer now! Not really a gadget but i’m in love with my film camera!

They are, I love them! I definitely want to get myself a camera as well, but I do love the printer, it’s such a convenient way to get yourself some Polaroids – if you forget your camera but have your phone, there’s always a way to get it printed off later!

I need to get myself a decent film camera. I have a Canon EOS and it’s brilliant for photos, but my particular one isn’t great for videos at all!

So jealous that you have a polaroid printer! I’ve wanted a way to print polaroids for ages because they look so nice! It’s cool that you can do it all from an app too, so much less hassle, seems like a really good gift!

That’s so cool! I never knew you could print photos without ink before, that’s so interesting and the photos look amazing too. I’ve never had a polaroid camera, but when I was a kid I had a huge pin board where I printed out things that inspire me, and I wish I had one of these back then, because the images I stole from Google, copied into Microsoft Word and printed out NEVER looked this good hahaha! This seems like such a great investment x

That’s so cute, I love it! I used to cut out pictures and collect posters from magazines and hang them up all over my walls when I was younger! It really is, I would highly recommend x

This product sounds amazing! Especially since it doesn’t take up any ink – that’s the best part. So Fujifilm has a similar one for their Instax but it’s printed on a different kind of photo paper and I think I like the one you talked about more xD

Okay i’m definitely going to buy one of these! I love my go pro and these two could be combined so I could get physical copies of my photos. So glad you shared this post, I had thought about buying this before but wasn’t sure if the pictures would be good quality. Do you find that the paper is expensive?

That would be so lovely being able to print them out! They’re definitely not HD quality, but considering how the product works, I personally think it’s worth the money! It’s around £25 for a pack of 50 for the paper from the same brand as the printer, however I’m sure there will be cheaper substitutes out there. I think it’s worth it though as I don’t print out every single photo I have, but the more precious / my favourite ones!
