Re-potting & Planting New Seeds

Recently I was in Flying Tiger and noticed some really cute vases / plant pots, and wanted to have a little collection of plants and herbs by my window, so I bought them, a plant, and some seeds and thought I’d write a blog post about it.

There were so many cute pots in the shop. I picked up a few coloured pots, and a pink flower vase, too. I also picked up a plain white one in the shape of a camera. They have a few different object shaped vases and pots, and I’m sure I’m going to go back and pick up some more so I can grow my herb collection!

Plant 1

I wanted a plant for the larger pot, so I went to a local garden centre and picked up a very cute plant called Glechoma Hederacea (if you’re interested). I then bought coriander and garlic chives seeds, as those two herbs are probably the two I use the most.

Plant 2

I filled the purple pot with a little earth at the bottom before tipping the plant out of it’s original plastic pot, and putting it inside the purple one. I then filled the gaps at the side with more earth and that was that done!

I also filled the small and camera pots up with earth almost to the top, before popping in a few of my chosen seeds on top. I then topped it off with a little more earth and lightly patted it down so the seeds were covered.

Plant 4

I chose to put the chives in the smaller blue pot, and the coriander in the camera pot as I thought it would be cute to have the bushy coriander leaves growing out over the top of the camera. I also think it would be nice if the camera was painted (I might do this in the future if I can find paint that can work) but the plain white is also nice.

Give your plants and seeds a water, and that’s it! I’m excited to watch these ┬áherbs grow, and to buy some more seeds and pots to grow my windowsill collection.

Do you have any cute or unusual plant pots, or are you into herb gardening?
