Re-potting & Planting New Seeds

Recently I was in Flying Tiger and noticed some really cute vases / plant pots, and wanted to have a little collection of plants and herbs by my window, so I bought them, a plant, and some seeds and thought I’d write a blog post about it.

There were so many cute pots in the shop. I picked up a few coloured pots, and a pink flower vase, too. I also picked up a plain white one in the shape of a camera. They have a few different object shaped vases and pots, and I’m sure I’m going to go back and pick up some more so I can grow my herb collection!

Mary Berry’s Banana Bread | Recipes

I’ve used Mary Berry’s recipe for banana bread for years now, and it’s by far my favourite. It’s so fluffy and tastes amazing! It’s a huge favourite of my University friends as well when I make it, and completely foolproof.

Arm-Knitting A Chunky Blanket

A while ago I bought a huge 4kg ball of wool with the aim to arm-knit myself one of those chunky blankets I’ve seen all over the internet for a few years now, and because of exams it sat in the corner for weeks. But now that Uni is over for the semester, I finally got around to knitting it the other night!

The wool was a bit pricey at ยฃ60 for 4kg, but still one of the cheaper, good quality options I could find in the UK. Plus, it was an amount I was willing to spend to have the experience of making my own blanket. I bought mine from Woolly Mahoosive and opted for their acrylic “Mammoth” yarn in Amber, as the acrylic yarn was the cheaper option – however, it still feels lovely and soft. The company also included recommended instructions for making a blanket out of the wool, which was very helpful as I wasn’t quite sure where to start.
