May Birchbox

I’ve wanted to try out a make-up subscription for awhile now, and decided on Birchbox as I see it a lot on other blogs. This is my first month so I’m not 100% sure what my thoughts are on the subscription as a whole, but I’m happy with this month’s box, and the print on the physical box is super cute, too.

I was able to pick one item in my box, or rather the colour of the item, which I thought was cool. I would rather you got to pick the item itself, but it’s still nice having an option of some kind. Especially since mine was lipstick, and it would be fairly pointless to pay for a subscription and get a make-up item in a colour that you don’t like or that doesn’t suit you.

Moving on, let’s see what else I got in the box!

Tarte Cosmetics Haul | First Impressions

A couple of weeks ago, amidst some exam stress, I did a bit of online shopping and managed to bag myself an amazing deal with Tarte Cosmetics! They were offering a make-up bag filled with 6 full sized products for only £56 (however, usually the entire purchase would be worth £180+). Apparently they do this once or twice every year. I’ve always wanted to try out their make-up so I couldn’t really resist!

It did take a couple of weeks to get to me, which was made clear on the website when I purchased it since there was such a high demand for this deal, but I received it a few days ago and I was so excited I had to start writing about them ASAP.

I’ve only tried out these products a couple of times, but I will be coming back to review them at a later date when I’ve played around with them first. For now, I’ll just be doing a first impressions / look at what I bought.

Harry Potter-Inspired Eyeshadow Palette // Review

I know I’m a bit late to the Wizardry and Witchcraft Palette train, but I finally got my hands on this beauty and (as an embarrassingly huge Harry Potter fan) I’m so excited!

For those who might not know, this palette is by Storybook Cosmetics, a wonderful company that makes beautiful, cruelty-free fiction-inspired make up and tools – you can get matching wand shaped make up brushes SWEET LORD.

This particular eyeshadow palette, as you can probably tell from the title, is inspired by Harry Potter! The colours are magical, as are the names (Bewitched, Merlin, Potions, etc). I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited to get my hands on a make up product before.
